Buckwheat tea, Ku Qiao Mai “AAA”, buckwheat

Ku Qiao Mai, also known as tartary or bitter buckwheat, is extremely beneficial for health. It brews into a pleasant drink with the taste of oatmeal cookies. The “AAA” grade has a medium roast.

Buckwheat is easy to brew into a pleasant drink. You will need:

1. A regular glass, though it can also be brewed gongfu style;
2. Water at 95°C;
3. One teaspoon of buckwheat (or less — feel free to experiment with the amount).

Steep for 2–3 minutes and enjoy the cookie-like sweetness in your cup.
