Shu Pu-erh “Pure Aroma from Bulang Mountain” (Bu Lang Chun Wei), 2010, 250 g.
An aged, slightly dried and well-settled shu pu-erh. The brownish-amber cake consists of buds and small leaves. Weighing 250 grams with a medium compression.
When warmed by breath, the aroma reveals notes of nuts, cocoa beans, and a hint of damp leaves. The infusion is dense, almost opaque, with a dark brown color.
The taste is smooth, with sweetness of nutmeg and hazelnut, vanilla, dark chocolate, and a touch of dates. Subtle tart notes of mint, blackcurrant, and lemon. A gentle bitterness of damp leaves, paper, and conifer bark appears after the sip, at the beginning of a bittersweet aftertaste.
The tea provides a steady, pleasant boost in energy, improving productivity, focus of vision, and clarity of thought. It warms the body well and helps activate inner resources.
