Huang Guan Yin "AAA" (Yellow Goddess of Mercy), 1st Place
Successful crossing of the varieties Tie Guan Yin and Huang Jin Gui by Fujian tea growers gave us this in 1998. At first glance, this Yellow Goddess of Mercy is not much different from the classic Wuyi oolong of medium fire, but the aroma... The aroma is special, I found flowers, cinnamon, grandma's Easter cakes from the oven, walnuts in it. The infusion turned out to be amber. The taste is pronounced, but soft, not too bright, a kind of floral nectar. Sweet-sour-spicy intricacies of flowers, fruits, dried berries do not let go and carry us away into a lingering aftertaste on the palate. The tea intoxicates, but do not forget that it intoxicates us with its sobriety and therefore, having been in heaven for half an hour, we return full of strength and in a great mood.
