Shu Pu’er “Bai Zhi Bing”, from Auntie Min, 2017, 200 g.
A Shu Pu’er from a true master of the craft — Auntie Min. A medium-density brown cake with an abundance of reddish buds. When the dry leaves are warmed by breath, they reveal a restrained dui wei (stacked hay aroma) and a light mu xiang (woody aroma).
With the addition of boiling water, the infusion becomes dark brown. The aroma shifts, becoming sweeter, with dominant notes of wood, vanilla, and nuts. In the smooth, viscous taste, there are notes of nutmeg sweetness, cocoa, vanilla, and a hint of peanuts. Bitterness is almost absent; only after swallowing, at the beginning of a short sweet aftertaste, a fleeting bitterness of fruit tree wood can be detected.
It brings a pleasant state with good vitality, a clear mind, and a sharp perception. The tea warms and fills you with nourishing energy, increasing positivity and the desire to act.
